Thoughts

India has got its first bullet train project on wheels , all praise to the prime minister and his rapport with the Japanese  premier which clinched  such a deal. Why is the Bullet train spending lakh of crores needed  ? The high speed railway is the much needed boost to infrastructure projects and a image booster to the Indian railways to restore its status as  a reliable and comfortable mode of public transportation. Why not invest in improving the existing rail network ? Is not the lakhs of crores invested in the previous decades proof  to the fact that it doesn't improve anything ? Why should this project be undertaken at  such a cost rather than welfare schemes ? Welfare schemes are a socialistic idealogue and we have also seen how many of these schemes simply divert the funds and in the end achieve nothing . World has seen government's  investing in infrastructure and generating jobs as a by product doing better on long run ...

India under the previous governments have always adopted a soft policy against China and all its views were treated as better left unanswered that causing trouble . For a nation that has equal importance in the sub continent this was undermining India's possibility of playing a larger role of being a strong ally to Bhutan, Nepal or Mauritius endangering our influence in the Indian Ocean region at large .
